Disadvantages
- With a continuing increase in size the new Office Suite runs slower, demands more space and more of
your computers resources.
- By default the 2007 suite saves in a format that is no longer backwards compatible. Patches, or
changing your default settings can help solve this problem.
- The new interface will require substantial adjustment for users of previous versions. With pull-down
menus gone and toolbars changed there is nothing familiar here for old users to fall back on.
- Limited Operating System Support: Microsoft's products are targeted for Windows users, while versions exist
for Mac OS there are interoperability problems that limit transferring documents and data between Microsoft's
Office suite for Windows and Mac.
